This book is a tour de force. It sets out the facts of the present situation and why the radical right is on the rise. It also deals with the historical precedents of violence and intolerance and seeks to explain the appeal of terrorism.
For these reasons it is essential reading for anyone who is concerned about the state of the world in this "age of anger". It does not seek to provide a solution to the problems it outlines.
