Some things never change.
Some things never change.
People are concerned about the cost of living and the NHS. Nobody in their right mind could blame migrants for those things. Enter NF!

Hunted by Abir Mukherjee
Book covers often have comments from reviewers. The first thing I noticed about this crime novel is the endorsement by some of the greatest crime writers. That encouraged me to read it.
Abir Mukherjee tells a very good story with a lot of plot twists and a contemporary feel. This story is mainly set in the USA and there are a number of interesting and engaging characters. It is set against a background in which all muslims are demonised as terrorists.
Naturally, it does not refer to any corrupt racist politicians by name but the reader can have a good guess.
My favourite remark is that our enemies do not come to this country on small boats, they arrive in private jets. So true!
I thoroughly recommend this book.

Playing games on the phone
Playing games on the phone
Like a lot of people I play games on the phone.
I chose one which seemed harmless and it is fair
to say the game itself probably is.
targeted at children. One is a patience game
for which there are cash prizes and another
boasts that you can earn real money for testing
out games.
There are also highly suspicious adverts which
invite you to interact with AI entities on the
internet. The dangers will be obvious to any
adult. Not so much to the children they are
clearly aimed at.
It would be worth having a look at which games
your children are playing and checking if they are
as innocent as they seem. The best advocates for
online safety can be youngsters who are in the know!

This is a game which children might play. In fact,
my grandchildren have expressed an interest.
Then there are the adverts.
I have seen advertisements which are for gambling andtargeted at children. One is a patience game

boasts that you can earn real money for testing
out games.
There are also adverts for bitcoin. Not all of
them contain the customary small-print
warning that you could lose all your money
and there is no redress if you do.

Just so we’re clear.
Just so we’re clear. People who paint a few planes are imprisoned as terrorists. People who murder 52,000 civilians are provided with guns. #starmer #palestine
